
PhyNet Lindale is pleased to welcome Dr. Ellen Remenchik.
Dr. Remenchik brings over 30 years of diverse health care experience to PhyNet Lindale. With a focus on Internal Medicine and Occupational/Preventive Medicine, she has a strong background in academic and clinical medicine, as well as research, serving in various roles at institutions including Baylor College of Medicine, UT Tyler Health Science Center, Mayo College of Medicine, and UTHSCSA.
She earned her undergraduate degree Cum Laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle, her MD from Texas A&M, and her MPH from the UT School of Public Health in Houston.
Her more recent work has included geriatric care, rehabilitation, and medical education. At UTHSCSA, she taught medical students and served on the Medical School Student Selection Committee. She has also held Medical Director positions in both academic and private practice settings. Ellen has received several honors for her contributions to teaching and medicine, including UT Tyler’s Occupational Medicine Preceptor of the Year.
She was also recognized by NASA with the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center Group Achievement Award for her work in the 1994 Astronaut Candidate Medical Selection, as well as a Certificate of Appreciation for her support of the JSC Total Health Program. She is currently board-certified in Internal Medicine and Occupational Medicine from NBPAS.
In her free time, Ellen enjoys all kinds of music and hiking in the great outdoors.
